I'm looking forward to working with Pimachiowin Aki on the campaign to have a large chunk of Northern Ontario and Manitoba designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's going to be a long haul, but it will be worth it for everyone--for the people who live in the territory, for other Canadians, for the future. I'm not being sentimental about this. Any time we label something as worth protecting, people get the idea that it actually is worth protecting.
